White Mountain Charity 5K Run/Walk Will Benefit Stassinos and Maheu

SWEETWATER COUNTY — On June 18th on a workover rig in North Dakota an explosion injured four workers, one of whom did not survive. Two of these workers are longtime residents of Rock Springs. Chad Maheu sustained burns to 70% of his body and remains in critical condition in a hospital in Minnesota.

Johnny Stassinos sadly succumbed to his injuries on the day of the blast.

Saturday, July 9th Wyo Faction in coordination with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 151 will be conducting the White Mountain Charity 5k Run/Walk to benefit the families of Chad Maheu and Johnny Stassinos.

The starting/finishing point for the run will be Crossroads West Park at 744 White Mountain Road in Rock Springs. Registration is $10 per runner and will begin at 9:00 am and the run will start at 10:00 am. The course will go from the park to the base of White Mountain and turn north.
