SWEETWATER COUNTY — Sweetwater County remains in a Winter Weather Advisory today, December 9, as conditions will continue to get worse as the day progresses, according to a briefing from the United States National Weather Service.
According to the latest Wyoming winter weather briefing video, Sweetwater County can expect heavier snow to occur this afternoon and evening. Rock Springs could see around 2-4 inches of snow, while Rawlins may see 6-8 inches, and Casper 4-6.
Areas east of Rock Springs are should expect to see the biggest wind-related impacts and blowing snow, according to the briefing. This will include sections of Interstate 80 as the storm makes its way through the eastern portion of the county.
The combination of snow and wind, could create for some hazardous driving conditions tonight. As for temperatures, Rock Springs should see a low of around 14 degrees. For a complete forecast, click here.
