CHEYENNE – The Legislative Service Office has relocated to the Jonah Business Center at 3001 E. Pershing Blvd, during the rehabilitation and restoration of the Capitol and Herschler Building.
Legislative sessions will also be held at this location beginning with the 2016 Budget Session on February 8. The Capitol is anticipated to be closed to the public in the fall of 2015.
The Wyoming Capitol Square Project has launched a new website, www.wyomingcapitolsquare.com, and electronic news updates to provide the public better access to information about the project. Sign-up for the electronic news updates is available on the website.
The new website includes updates on agency moves and construction, as well as a calendar of events and meetings. The website also features floor plans, designs, photos and a behind the scenes blog.
The Capitol Square Project centers on the restoration of the Wyoming State Capitol, which is a National Historic Landmark, and includes the rehabilitation of the adjacent Herschler Building, as well as a four-story office addition to the Herschler. This complex multi-year project will repair the buildings while making much needed health, safety, security and electrical upgrades.
