Back Near the Top yet Again
A 2014 nationwide Survey by Gallup and Healthways ranked Wyoming as the 4th happiest state in nation. Previsously, Wyoming ranked 2nd in 2010 and 3rd in 2009. These nationwide studies involved over 100,000 interviews.
The 2014 study measured these 5 essential elements of well being: motivation to achieve goals (purpose), having positive relationships (social), economic satisfaction (financial), feeling safe and having pride in where you live (community), and taking care of your health (physical).
Interestingly enough, the only two states to remain in the top 10 every year since data started being collected in 2008 are Hawaii and Colorado.
Most people in Wyoming don’t need a study to tell them they are happy. The unique natural beauty alone is a major reason for peoples’ happiness in the Cowboy state.
