GREEN RIVER — One person was cited and another was injured after a wreck in Green River last night.
On Thursday, October 29, at around 7:19 pm, Green River Police Department (GRPD) officers responded to a multiple vehicle crash at Uinta Drive and E. 4th S.
According to a press release from the GRPD, it was reported that a red truck was traveling south on Uinta Drive, while a white truck was traveling north. Both of these vehicles were approaching the intersection of Uinta Drive and E. 4th S, while a black truck was stopped at that intersection waiting to make a right hand turn on to Uinta Drive.
The red pickup initiated a left-hand turn as the white truck entered the intersection. The red truck struck the passenger side of white truck, which caused the truck to roll striking the black truck. EMS was called to the scene and officers met with all the individuals involved.
Officers, while meeting with the driver of the white truck, detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. The driver of the white truck, Colton Hopkins, 23, of Green River, was cited for allegedly driving under the influence and improper turn.
One individual was treated and transported by ambulance.
