ROCK SPRINGS – One of the most anticipated summer events received a nice gift from a local business.

On Friday, Simplot presented a check in the amount of $2,500 for this summer’s Sweetwater Blues n’ Brews Festival. This year’s event will have Bunning Park jumping on Aug. 13.

The Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency partners with the Young And Professionals (YAP) of Sweetwater County to produce Sweetwater Blues n’ Brews each year. Director of the Rock Springs Main Street/URA Chad Banks said it is the biggest fundraiser for them. Funds raised help with the downtown revitalization efforts and other community projects.
