UPDATE: August 16 at 5:15 p.m.; During search efforts today, Mr. Hallingbye was located inside Fremont County. Unfortunately, Mr. Hallingbye was deceased, more details will be released when they are available in a joint release between the Sublette and Fremont County Sheriff’s Offices. Our sincerest condolences go out to the family and friends of Mr. Hallingbye.

SUBLETTE COUNTY – Authorities are seeking information on a missing 41-year-old man who has been reported missing.

Thor Hallingbye was last seen with a red backpack in the vicinity of Gannett Peak in the Wind River Mountain Range on Saturday, August 14.

Anyone who has seen Hallingbye or has information is being asked to call the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office at 307-367-4378.
