CASPER — The Rock Springs Lady Tigers competed in the 4A state volleyball on Saturday in Casper.
Rock Springs entered the eight-team bracket as a #1 seed. For the first time in a decade, the Lady Tigers won the 4A west conference championship, earning the top spot for the bracket.
In the first round of the tournament, Rock Springs faced off against Cheyenne East. The Lady Thunderbirds upset Rock Springs in three sets, 26-24,25-20 and 25-21. The shocking loss knocked out the Lady Tigers of the championship bracket.

Later in the day, Rock Springs squared off against Evanston in the consolation semifinals. Rock Springs ended up with a similar result. The Lady Red Devils outlasted the Lady Tigers in three sets, 25-23, 27-25 and 25-18. With a second loss in the tournament, Rock Springs’ season ended.
Rock Springs finished the year with an overall record of 18-6 and a perfect 6-0 in conference play.
