The 2021 spring sports season in Sweetwater County is just around the corner. With practices underway and game days approaching quickly, we’ve put together a preview for each team in Sweetwater County.
In preparation for the start of the season, we’ve gathered general information such as last year’s results, a few comments from the head coach and every team’s schedule.

COACH’S CORNER
Q: Let’s talk a little bit about last season. What has it been like being away from your sport for nearly two years? What challenges do you think that has posed for your team?
Nielsen: “Being away from organized soccer for this long has been challenging. Many of the soccer teams in the state are going to be facing similar challenges this year. For us, the first challenge to face is going to be connecting the team as a family once again. Getting our feet back under us while preparing to compete will take time as well.”
Q: What are your initial thoughts about this upcoming season?
Nielsen: “The athletes and coaches are both just looking forward to getting back to playing soccer. We all love the game and are going to approach this season as an opportunity to just enjoy playing and learning the game again.”
Q: How do you compare against the competition in your conference?
Nielsen: “Our goal each game is to compete with each team from top to bottom. This season will be unlike any other as we really aren’t sure what other teams will look like.”
