GREEN RIVER — According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol a Utah woman was killed in a Interstate 80 roll over accident at Mile Marker 80 Sunday Morning around 3:00 a.m. According to Lt. Scott Kean of the Wyoming Highway Patrol the woman and a male passenger were travelling west-bound on Interstate 80 when their early 2000’s model Dodge Durango drifted to the left of the roadway and the driver over corrected to the right causing the vehicle to roll numerous times.

Kean said that speed was likely a factor considering how many times the vehicle rolled. Both the passenger and driver were wearing safety belts. The force of the impact buckled structural components, allowing the driver to suffer head injuries when she was partially ejected. The male passenger survived and was taken to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County before being flown to Utah for further treatment.

Kean said that the surviving passenger recounted that the pair had been drinking at the Mast Bar in Green River and had gotten into an argument before leaving to return to Utah.
