ROCK SPRINGS — Longtime resident and local athlete, Jeffrey King, was selected to participate in bowling competitions at the Special Olympics USA Games 2022 to be held in Orlando, Florida.
The 2022 Special Olympics USA Games will be held June 5th-12th and will unite more than 5,500 athletes and coaches from all 50 states and the Caribbean, 20,000 volunteers, and 125,000 spectators during one of the country’s most cherished sporting events.
“We are all so proud of Jeff. He is a truly great guy and we cannot think of someone more deserving of this opportunity. We know that Jeff will represent the very best of Wyoming,” Michael Boren of Life Skills Wyoming said.
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition
in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them
continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and
participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics
athletes and the community.
