RAWLINS – The Wyoming department of Transportation advises motorists in South Central Wyoming that on July 13 work is scheduled to commence on Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Sinclair. Traffic control will be in place and travelers should expect workers on site with lowered speed limits and possible lane closures.
The application of a wearing course this year is the final step of the project on the same road section last year that improved four bridge decks. The project in its entirety is projected to wrap up by the last week in July, 2015.
The contractor for the entire project is Simon Contractors out of Cheyenne.
The cost is $6.1 million, paid for by federal funds.
