BIG PINEY – According to the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office a litter of kittens were recently taken to the Sublette County Landfill in a garbage container and left with the garbage. “This was not an isolated incident. If you can’t find homes for your animals, there is help available. Call the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office and ask for Animal Control assistance. It is against the law to abandon animals. Cruelty to Animals, W.S.S. 6-3-203, with a possible fine of $750.00 and/or six (6) months in jail. If you find a dog/cat or lose a dog/cat please report it to Sublette County Animal Control; 307-367-4378. Many times we are able to return the animals to their people.”
