ROCK SPRINGS – Everyone enjoys a good thank you once in awhile. The Sweetwater Events Complex received one Tuesday night.
At the monthly Sweetwater County Fair Board meeting, Rock Springs Motocross Club President Wes Smith told the board Rock Springs Motocross has had a good year.
Smith said it is because of the support and help of the Events Complex Board and staff that they are seeing growth and success. To give back and say thank you, Smith presented a check for $500 from Rock Springs Motocross. The money will go to help offset the cost of sand.
The complex is truly a multi-use facility with BMX, horse events, motocross and the hundreds of other groups who use the facility. Without the work of the complex staff and support of the board, Smith said many of these events would not be as successful as they are. He challenged other groups to step up and give back to the facility that has given so much to them.
RS Motocross is preparing for its final indoor race of the year this weekend. After a full weekend of racing, the club will have an awards banquet this Sunday at the complex.
