ROCK SPRINGS – Saving a life could be as easy as seeing if you are a match. There will be an upcoming bone marrow donor drive at the Young at Heart Early Learning Center to see if you could be that match.
The center will be hosting a bone marrow donor drive on Saturday November 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in honor of Cline McMurry. Cline is a 5- year-old boy who suffers from chronic neutropenia and is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Anyone who is willing to volunteer their time please see Rachelle or send a message to the Young at Heart Early Childhood Facebook page.
Registering as a donor is as simple as answering a few health questions and having your mouth swabbed and should take no longer than 10 minutes. The center’s goal is to have 500 donors registered from the community.
We hope to see all of you! For those of you who cannot attend, please go to www.deletebloodcancer.organd you can register to be a donor and send in a mouth swab sample through the mail.
