ROCK SPRINGS – Catherine G. Colgan, 95, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Deseret Health and Rehab Center. A long time resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming and former resident of Baltimore, Maryland, Mrs. Colgan died following an injury from a fall.
She was born on November 15, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Funk.
Ms. Colgan attended schools in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from the Seton High School.
She was the owner operator of the Highland Inn Bar and Restaurant in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ms. Colgan was a member of Young At Heart Senior Citizen’s Center.
Her interests included playing in the Senior Citizen’s Band and volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include one son Stanley Colgan of Rock Springs, Wyoming; seven grandchildren Michele Schuman, Christy Colgan, Stan Colgan, Jr., Tracey Colgan, T.J Colgan, Thomas Colgan Jr., and Patty Colgan; four great-grandchildren Cassidy, Ashley, Jayden and Kayla; two great-great grandchildren Rachael and Seth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Thomas Colgan and one daughter Barbara Boward.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at her request.
