GREEN RIVER — The City of Green River issued the following apology.

‘On behalf of the City of Green River, we would like to express our apologies to the citizens for the fireworks display on Friday. The company discharging the fireworks had what they described as a “catastrophic failure” of their electronic ignition system, causing the display to be dramatically shortened. Despite efforts to fix the problem, they could not. This is the same company the City of Green River has contracted with for years and they have previously provided very good fireworks displays on the 4th. Again, on behalf of the City, sorry for the disappointing fireworks display.
