RIVERSIDE, Calif.– The University of Wyoming women’s golf team held steady during the final day of the Battle at the Rock to claim tenth place as a team.

UW was led by senior Gabrielle Gibson, who posted her fourth top-10 finish of the year. Gibson tied for tenth after shooting a 77 (+5) during the final round at the Oak Quarry Golf Club.

“We played very up and down today and pressed when we needed to play more free,” UW head coach Josey Stender said.

“That will come with more competitive rounds. The first tournament of the spring always exposes our weaknesses from the off season and I feel we aren’t far off. It comes with finding consistency in all areas of the game.”
