The 2016 Green River Crystal Classic is this weekend, February 12-13, on Expedition Island in Green River. Bring your family and enjoy the ice cold art, the hot soup cook-off, carriage rides, horseshoe tournament, and more.

- 4:30-8:30 pm – Individual Competition People’s Choice at Expedition Island
- 5-8:30 pm – S ‘mores Station at Expedition Island
- 5-9 pm – Carriage rides with L-M Horse and Carriage at Evers Park Shelter
- 6-8 pm – Soup Cook-Off at the Pavilion, register at the Green River Recreation Center
- 6-9 pm – Ice Bar at Expedition Island
- 6-9 pm – Live band “Nowhere Fast” at Expedition Island
- 8:30 pm – Fireworks at Expedition Island
- 8:45 pm – People’s Choice winners announced at Expedition Island
Saturday, Feb 13
- 8-11 am – Pancake breakfast (hosted by boy scout troop 312) at the Pavilion
- 8:30-9 am – Late registration for Frostbite 5K Run/Walk at the Pavilion, early registration can be done online on their website
- 8:30-10:15 am – Frostbite 5K Run/Walk check-in at the Pavilion
- 9:30 am-1:30 pm – Individual NICA ice sculpting competition at Expedition Island Park
- 10 am-3:30 pm – Carriage rides with L-M Horse and Carriage at Evers Park Shelter
- 10:30 am – Frostbite 5K Run/Walk starting at Expedition Island and following the greenbelt pathway (Red Desert Roadrunners), awards following the race will be at the Expedition Island stage area
- 10 am – Horseshoe tournament, contact Lisa Nussbaum to register at 307-871-5472
- 10 am-3:30 pm – D.J. “Party Squad” at Expedition Island
- 10:30 am-12:30 pm – Ice Cube Hunt check-in at the Pavilion
- 11 am-3 pm – Ice Bar at Expedition Island
- 11 am-2 pm – Icicle Family Scavenger Hunt at Riverside Memorial Park
