ROCK SPRINGS – While several residents of Sweetwater County will be making the trip to Laramie to welcome the Cowboys back from a not-so-friendly trip to Oregon, there will be a special group from Rock Springs High School there. Keep your eye open at halftime.

After giving Rock Springs Tiger fans a halftime performance at homecoming, the Rock Springs High School Band will be attending the UWyo Band Day this Saturday. The RSHS Band will have a joint rehearsal with the university marching band along with all the other high school bands in attendance. RSHS Band Director Brian Redman said during halftime, the massed band will perform “Happy” and “Cowboy Joe.”

“This is a great opportunity for the band students to experience a college football atmosphere and become familiar with the University of Wyoming Marching Band, an ensemble they can participate in during college regardless of their major,” Redman said.
