SWEETWATER COUNTY — According to our friends at County10.com  the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office moved ten inmates from the Fremont County Detention Center in Lander to the Sweetwater County Detention Center this past weekend.

Fremont County is paying $400 a day, at $40 apiece, for the Sweetwater jail to house the local inmates. Fremont County Undersheriff Ryan Lee said that, “We have inmates with no contact orders between inmates in the same case, no contact orders with other inmates, separate areas for female inmates, and it gets to where we are overcrowded and run out of room to keep people separated.”
