CHEYENNE – The Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition and Sale celebrates the work of the state’s visual artists. The juried group show is held annually in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Purchase Award winning works from the show join the Governor’s Capitol Art Collection, a dedicated collection of original art displayed in the public areas of state government offices. All other artwork included in the exhibition is available for sale.

The next Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition and Sale will take place in January/February 2015.

The Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition and Sale began when Governor Jim Geringer realized that there were not enough pieces of Wyoming artwork to display in the Governor’s office. The other elected officials’ offices also wanted artworks to exhibit. Several pieces are added to this collection each year.
