Green River Horse Palace Seeks Approval for Liquor License

GREEN RIVER — The Green River City Council will consider approval of a liquor license request made by Wyoming Horse Racing LLC, Green River Horse Palace during the Council meeting Tuesday night.

The Green River City Council will meet Tuesday, December 1, at 7 pm at Green River City Hall.

Eugene Joyce, President of Wyoming Horse Racing LLC, said when the Town Bar and Grill in Downtown Green River closed amid the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, they had to move location to stay open in Green River.

The new satellite location for Green River Horse Palace is at 110 Uinta Drive.

When considering the liquor license the council is to question the following:

  • Do existing licenses or permits meet the needs of the community?
  • Have the desires of the residents been met or satisfied?
  • Have other reasonable restrictions or standards imposed by the City been met or carried out?
  • Will the welfare of the people residing in the vicinity be adversely or seriously affected?

There will be a public hearing for the liquor license at the start of the Council meeting.
