GREEN RIVER — The identity of the winner of a more than $1,300,000 lottery jackpot has yet to be released to the public. Lottery officials believe the winner is a Green River local.
The winner will be on hand for a ceremony next week with lottery officials. The officials say that the winner has agreed to announce their identity publicly.
Congratulations to some lucky person in Green River.
In a press release the Wyoming Lottery announced the following:
Meet Wyoming’s newest millionaire! WyoLottoTM will be presenting the Cowboy State’s newest millionaire with his winnings on Monday, May 9 at 9 a.m. at WyoLotto headquarters. Media are invited to attend the event.
Wyoming’s newest jackpot winner purchased his Cowboy DrawTM ticket in Green River, Wyo. on May 5, and he’ll soon be living every lottery player’s dream with a ticket worth $1,342,013 million.
WyoLotto reported that the winning ticket was purchased at the Exxon located at 1050 W. Flaming Gorge Way in Green River.
This is the eighth jackpot-winning ticket sold for Cowboy Draw, and the third life-changing jackpot of over a million dollars. This is also the fifth time WyoLotto has announced a new millionaire since the launch of the lottery in August 2014.
WyoLotto CEO Jon Clontz said he can’t wait to meet the winner. “Today is another exciting day at the WyoLotto office. The chance to change someone’s life and see them experience something they never even dreamed was possible makes this a terrific job.”
The winning numbers for Thursday’s Cowboy Draw drawing were 10, 18, 29, 33, and 38.
