GREEN RIVER — Green River High School recently earned recognition at the Josten’s Renaissance Gobal Conference in Orlando, FL.
Students and teachers from GRHS received the Silver Tier School of Distinction Award among 17 other schools participating in the conference from July 18-20.
The three-day conferece brought action-oriented educators, staff and students, together to share best practices on how to implement a strong school culture and climate.
Nine of the Green River students presented a breakout session at the conference on their success in fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Wyoming charity.
The theme of the conference was “Come Together 2022” and the students learned to implement tangible strategies to improve school climate and culture, including content specific to Social Emotional Learning and Educational Equity.
They attended dynamic breakouts led by educators and students sharing real-life insights and proven ideas from the classroom, and listened to inspiring and educated by experts and thought leaders on a variety of subjects.
The event is designed to build lasting networks between educators and students all across North America.
