Devin Love added points and Chase Stoeger scored his fifth point in the first half but the Devils continued to pull away. At the break it was Evanston in front, 33-18. The Red Devils hit six threes in the half. Stoeger finished with five points for Green River while Cameron Morris had four in the first half.

Hunter Spartz came out firing and had a big third quarter for Green River as he scored six early. Love and Gavin Heiser also added points but, after three, Evanston continued to lead, 47-27.

Spartz added a bucket in the fourth and Love converted a three-point play but that would pretty much be it for the Wolves. Evanston extended the lead in the final quarter to take the win 66-38.

One key to the win was on the boards as Green River only grabbed 11 rebounds in the game. Spartz had five of the boards for the Wolves. Spartz’s 12 points led the way while both Love and Morris added six in the finale. Heiser and Stoeger each scored five.
