The 2021 winter sports season in Sweetwater County is just around the corner. With practices underway and game days approaching quickly, we’ve put together a preview for each team in Sweetwater County.
In preparation for the start of the season, we’ve gathered general information such as last year’s results, a few comments from the head coach and every team’s schedule.

COACH’S CORNER
Q: Talk a little bit about your returning varsity players. Who should we keep an eye out for this season?
Ivie: “We have an extremely solid group of seniors. Dylan Taylor led our conference in scoring last year, and is a two-time All-State basketball player. Austin Fox and Jax Peterson were starters last year, and will be huge contributors on both sides of the ball. Juniors Kason Ivie, Caleb Lake, and Xander Lindsey bring a high level of intensity to our defensive scheme, and sophomores Theran Archibald and Chris Wilson will contribute big minutes for us this season.”
Q: What are your initial thoughts about this upcoming season?
Ivie: “This team is a very unified and cohesive group on the court. They love playing together, know the importance of teamwork, and understand and embrace their roles. We are especially excited about our depth this year.”
Q: How do you compare against the competition in your conference?
Ivie: “We should be able to compete at a high level this season against all teams in our conference.”
