About the Pay Compensation and Benefit Package:

  • Highly competitive and attractive pay package with entry level positions starting at a base hourly rate of $48.10 - $48.94, with an opportunity to progress to a base hourly rate of $54.11 - $54.91. Additional compensation can be earned through overtime opportunities that become available.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An associate degree/certification in a mechanical maintenance discipline from an accredited college/university, with at least one (1) year of industrial experience.; or
  • Journeyman license in the ironworks, millwrights, or mechanic disciplines; or
  • High School diploma, or equivalent, from an accredited institution, with at least three (3) years of verifiable experience in heavy industrial mechanical maintenance and repair (i.e., mining, milling, oil and gas, power and utilities, and manufacturing).

Preferred Experience:

  • Underground Mine Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial equipment and systems, including power and utilities, to keep production running safely and reliably.
  • Plate and pipe stick welding.
  • Evaluation of equipment condition and acceptable standards for mechanical maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on high pressure steam and other fluid piping systems.

Activities and Responsibilities:

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Work independently or as a member of a team with or without direct supervision.
  • Effectively communicate, both verbally and in written format.
  • Follow instructions and adhere to directives.
  • Make necessary decisions to complete job tasks and problem solve.
  • Recognize and follow safety protocols and correct safety concerns.
  • Work with hourly and salaried employees, and train as necessary.
  • Safely apply chemicals for cleaning.
  • Work under varying environmental conditions.
  • Work on feet, climb stairs, work in confined spaces, and walk from various locations throughout the plants.

Those who meet the minimum requirements will be invited to advance to the next hiring stage. Genesis Alkali follows a progressive process which includes a physical abilities test (PAT), assessment, in-person interviews, and background check.
