Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance on all mining equipment

Performs scheduled component replacement on mining equipment

Performs unscheduled maintenance on mining equipment in the field and shop

Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical faults on mining equipment

Clean and maintains work area, tools and equipment as needed

Qualifications

* Valid driver's license

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent

* Must be able to work weekends (day shift) 12 hours/day, 7 on 7 off schedule

* Successfully complete qualification testing

* Prior mechanical experience or mechanical technician education

* Ability to perform all duties and activities in a manner which conforms to mine safety requirements

* Prefer previous mining experience

Overview

Repair work to equipment, both in the field and in the central shop. Also, preventative maintenance on equipment used on the mine site. Runs small equipment to aid the maintenance process such as forklifts, cranes and tire handlers. Does work as fueling, laborer work and work in the steam bay. Clean work areas as needed and other work associated with daily operation of a surface coal mine. Located in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Employees are part of a diverse team committed to safety.
