GREEN RIVER — The Green River Lady Wolves swimming and diving team hosted and won a home swim meet last Saturday against seven other teams.
The Lady Wolves outpaced Rock Springs for the first place finish with a team score of 300. The Rock Springs Lady Tigers finished second with a score of 278.
Both Green River and Rock Springs saw strong performances throughout the meet, each taking the top spot in several events.

For the Lady Wolves, it was Courtney Clark and Tanith Smith who each found two first place finishes. Clark swam to victory in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, while Smith claimed first in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard back. Hailey Uhrig also found her way at the top in the 100-yard breast.
Rock Springs also had their fair share of top performers. Emry Hamblin earned a first place finish in the 50-yard freestyle. Myla Ruiz also took the top spot in diving with teammate Anna Sorensen coming in second place for the Lady Tigers. Rock Springs also finished first in a two of the team relays namely the 200-yard medley and 400-yard free relay.
