POWELL —  The City of Powell in Northern Wyoming has found a new kind of “weed” growing in their municipal planters, which normally sport an assortment of flowers.

Marijuana or hemp was recently found to be growing in several planters in the city.

The Powell Tribune reports that Powell’s police chief believes some prankster put marijuana or hemp seems into the planters some time ago.

Some of the plants were found very near the Powell Police Department’s station and city workers have been watering and caring for the planters.
