PHOTOS: Lunar Eclipse Visible in Sweetwater County This Morning

SWEETWATER COUNTY — Good morning Sweetwater County. What a grand early morning it was with the a full lunar eclipse taking place.

The lunar eclipse started around 3:45 this morning and could be seen by looking at the western horizon. According to the National Weather Service Riverton office, this was Wyoming’s first full lunar eclipse since January of 2019.

For those who didn’t stay up late or get up early to see the eclipse, don’t worry SweetwaterNOW has got you covered.

The following photos were taken at 15-minute intervals starting at 3:45 a.m. Totality took place around 5:10 a.m., unfortunately due to a few clouds rolling in, this photographer wasn’t able to capture it in all its glory. The rest of the eclipse was amazing though. Enjoy!
