CASPER – Hours after the Lady Pronghorns moved into the semifinals, the Farson-Eden Pronghorns followed suit as they beat the second seed from the east, Lingle-Ft. Laramie, 79-39.
The Pronghorns were led by Lain Mitchelson who scored a team-high 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the win. Clancy Gines added 17 points and pulled down seven boards while Cruz Lucero finished with 13 for the Pronghorns.
After a low-scoring first quarter that saw Farson take an 11-5 lead, the Pronghorns burned down the nets in the second. They scored 24 in the quarter while only allowing 13 Dogger points. At the break in was all Farson, 35-18.
While the Pronghorn offense continued in the third quarter, their defense in the second half was just as strong. Farson-Eden outscored Lingle-Ft. Laramie, 37-21 in the second half as they cruised into the semifinals.
The Pronghorns will play at 9 p.m. on Friday as they await the winner of H.E.M and Burlington.
