The 2021 fall sports season in Sweetwater County is just around the corner. With practices underway and game days approaching quickly, we’ve put together a preview for each team in Sweetwater County.
In preparation for the start of the season, we’ve gathered general information such as last year’s results, a few comments from the head coach and every team’s schedule.

Head Coach: Ron DeFauw – 14th year coaching the program.
2020 Results: 1st place 4A West Split Conference Champions, 5th place at state, finished with a 11-4 record.
Returning Varsity Swimmers/Divers: Seniors Abi Robinson-Kim (senior), Chloe Butcher (senior), Leah Moser (senior), Kiley Walker (senior), Myla Ruiz (senior), and Laura Parker (senior), Khyanne Goode (junior), Shelby Koepplin (junior), Morgen Forbush (junior) and Anna Sorensen (sophomore)
COACH’S CORNER
“This is a veteran and experienced senior dominated team that experienced a lot of success last year. We are returning every state qualifier from last year and they are coming back stronger and we will have much more depth. Diving, freestyle events of all distances and IM events are our strongest events, but this team has no glaring weakness. I feel comfortable saying that this is the strongest girls team from top to bottom of my 14 years here.
Laramie is the five-time repeat champion of the conference and has won three state titles in a row and are heavy favorites to repeat again this year. I believe it will be Kelly Walsh and us competing for second in the conference. Then Jackson, Evanston and Natrona fighting for fourth.
It should be a very successful and fun season!”
