ROCK SPRNGS — The Rock Springs Police Department is passing along information concerning an attempted scam which recently occurred in Wyoming.

A white male in his late to mid- to late-20’s reportedly entered a bank and attempted to exchange cash for smaller denominations.

It appears the subject attempted to confuse the bank teller in the hope of collecting the cash. When asked for identification the subject left the bank.

He reportedly drove a gray or silver minivan. The Rock Springs Police urges local banks to review with employees standard cash exchange practices and policies.
