JACKSON – The Upper Snake River Basin Sage Grouse Working Group will hold its next meeting from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, at the Wyoming Game and Fish Office in Jackson (420 North Cache Street).
During the meeting, the group will work on revisions and updates to its sage grouse conservation plan for the Jackson area. Additional topics will include progress reports on the Jackson Hole Airport Wildlife Hazard Management Plan, the Bridger-Teton National Forest sage grouse planning effort and a proposal for a geophagy study to expand knowledge of sage grouse winter habitat selection.

The group is one of eight regional working groups statewide. Each is composed of citizens representing groups interested in sage grouse conservation. The group develops and initiates conservation plans to benefit sage grouse and, when feasible, other species that use sagebrush habitats.
