ROCK SPRINGS — Sweetwater County School District (SCSD) No.1 is reporting 52 new positive COVID-19 cases during the last two weeks of school through November 4.
According to a ParentSquare post from SCSD No. 1 Superintendent Kelly McGovern, the District has seen 50 students and two employees test positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks. According to the data, Eastside Elementary School and Rock Springs High School are seeing the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 13 students at 1 employee and 17 students respectively.
So far, the total known COVID-19 positive cases for the district have been 306 students and 55 employees. Since October 4, the district has seen a total of 385 students and three employees issued stay-at-home orders.
