Simplot Donation Helps With the Blues

ROCK SPRINGS – Simplot recently presented a check for $1,000 to the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Association.

On Saturday, Aug. 8th, make your way to Bunning Park for a full day of music and fun for the 9th annual Sweetwater Blues n’ Brews Festival!

This year’s festival is put on in partnership by Downtown Rock Springs and YAP -Young and Professional of Sweetwater County. This has been the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Downtown area and has been a favorite among the community. Admission is $5 for the full-day event.

There will also be vendors available for non-alcoholic beverages and an assortment of food. Rock Springs Main Street/URA Director Chad Banks said feel free to bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy the concerts.

The event is less than a month away and there is still some need for volunteers. There are many different shifts and jobs to select from so please visit our website, fill out an application and then select the shift(s) that fit your schedule. You can also call the Downtown Rock Springs office at 307-352-1434 to volunteer.
