SWEETWATER COUNTY – The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office wants to make the public aware of a free smartphone app created by I.C.E. (U.S. Immigrations Customs Enforcement) designed to aid in dealing with child predators.
Sheriff Rich Haskell said the Operation Predator app is a groundbreaker in American federal law enforcement. It enables users to get alerts about wanted predators, share the alerts with friends and family through social media and email, and provide information to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) via online tips or by calling. Haskell said the app also makes available to users news and updates about arrests and prosecutions of child predators.
The app can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store or Itunes for iOS devices or from the Google Play store for Android phones.
For more information on the Operation Predator app, Haskell suggests a visit to the I.C.E. website at https://www.ice.gov/predator/predator-app.htm.
