WYOMING — Sweetwater County Public Health Officer Dr. Jean Stachon has announced that beginning today, the state health order relating to large indoor gatherings will be revoked effective immediately.
Also effective immediately, Order No. 1 will be amended to remove any requirements for institutes of higher education. Requirements for child care facilities and K-12 schools will remain.
Order No. 1 will then expire on May 31 and will not be renewed, according to a statement by Stachon.
“This means that there will be no statewide orders pertaining to K-12 schools beginning June 1,” the statement says. “Districts impacted (those that have classes into June and do not yet have an exception to the school requirements) are Albany No. 1, Laramie No. 1, Sublette No. 9, and Teton. A call for those superintendents to discuss options moving forward is scheduled for tomorrow at 8 a.m., and the CHOs from those counties have been invited.”
