GREEN RIVER– The 2020 State Speech and Debate competition will kick off this Thursday. March 12, in Green River and will last through Saturday, March 14.
Over 40 teams will be in attendance with about 600 kids.
“We are honored to host and show off our community,” Dan Parson, Green River High School Speech and Debate coach said.

Green River High School and Rock Springs High School are ready for the competition, both teams coming off of a successful tournament in Worland last week.
The Wolves speech and debate team took first in Worland, while the Tigers took second as a team.
The community is encouraged to support the local speech and debate teams this weekend as they battle it out for the state championship.
