SWCSD No. 2 Honored by American Heart Association for Providing Healthy Workplace

GREEN RIVER – Sweetwater School District No. 2 was recognized for becoming a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite as well as receiving the Worksite Innovation Award from the American Heart Association.

These awards recognized the District for its demonstration of a strong commitment to providing a healthy workplace for employees.

In a letter to the district, AHA Chief Executive Officer Nancy Brown congratulated the district on its accomplishments. She said SWCSD No. 2 is among an elite group of awardees for this important initiative.

“As a gold and worksite innovation award recipient, you have fulfilled key criteria and demonstrated a strong commitment to provide a healthy workplace for employees,” Brown said. “We at the American Heart Association commends your efforts and look forward to seeing you continue to make great strides in the coming year.”

As a fit-friendly worksite, Green River will receive recognition on the American Heart Association’s website www.heart.org/FFWrecognition and local recognition by the American Heart Association at events and communication materials supporting the recognition program.

Additionally, the district now has the right to use the American Heart Association’s Fit-Friendly Worksite Gold and Worksite Innovation seals on all internal and external communications for recruitment purposes. The award and seal usage rights are valid until April 1, 2016.
