SWEETWATER COUNTY — The Sweetwater Events Complex is seeking Sweetwater County Commission approval to proceed with an outdoor pavilion project.
The Sweetwater County Commission will meet Tuesday, February 1, at 8:30 a.m. at the Sweetwater County Courthouse.
According to the Commission documents, the Events Complex is asking for permission to proceed with an outdoor pavilion project as it is outside their approved budget with the County Commission. The documents did not specify the cost of the project, however, the engineering plans have been sent to Sweetwater County Public Works Director Gene Legerski.
The Sweetwater Events Complex was originally built in 1976, and the staff have been prioritizing improving and maintaining the facility. The complex is funded about 50 percent through taxpayer dollars through the Commission, and the other half is generated revenue through events.
