Sweetwater Memorial Reopens ER Entrance

ROCK SPRINGS — The Emergency Room entrance at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County (MHSC) reopened to patient traffic at 9 a.m. today.

The ER doors were closed most of Thursday and through the night as a result of a water leak, making it necessary to divert patient traffic to an alternate nearby entrance, MHSC Public Information Officer Deb Sutton said.

MHSC’s COVID-19 Drive-thru Swab Station will resume regular operations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the hospital’s main entrance. The main entrance continues to be closed to patient traffic. Please use the ER entrance.

The Emergency Department and the ambulance bay were not affected, Sutton said. Only the entrances sustained damage.

“We apologize for any inconveniences and thank you for your patience,” Sutton said.
