GREEN RIVER — Sweetwater School District #2 is pleased to announce that the Tesoro Foundation Board of Directors has approved a $300,000 grant for a Middle grades STEM Enrichment program.
The Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering(STEM) Enrichment Program will be implemented at Monroe Intermediate School. A recent remodel of the Monroe facility included the construction of a STEM laboratory. Tesoro’s generous funding will allow the district to fully develop this education environment;
Sweetwater School District #2 is committed to supporting educational initiatives to create opportunities for our students to acquire as much knowledge as possible to prepare them for the world ahead. The district and Tesoro believe investing in STEM education is one important strategy in achieving our goal.
