Western Wyoming Community College Board Accepts Trustee Hester-Croff’s Resignation

ROCK SPRINGS — During a special board meeting today, the Western Wyoming Community College Board of Trustees unanimously accepted a resignation letter from trustee Carla Hester-Croff.

In her one sentence resignation letter to the board dated May 25, 2021, Carla Hester-Croff states, “This letter is a formal notification that I am removing myself from the Western Wyoming Community College board.”

According to trustee George Eckman, Hester-Croff came to a board retreat on May 25 that was scheduled for all board members and handed the board the her letter of resignation.

The board accepted the resignation effective May 26, 2021, and by state statute it will have 30 days to fill Hester-Croff’s position on the board.

Hester-Croff was elected to the board in November of 2020 for the Sweetwater County School District No. 1 position.

The board is now accepting letters of interest from those who would like to fill Hester-Croff’s seat. The person who is selected will officially start the position on June 17, 2021. At the next regular board election in November of 2022, the person appointed can run for election to the position if they would like.

They can also email their letter to kfrink@westernwyoming.edu. All Applications must be submitted by June 13. The board will conduct interviews on June 15. Applicants must be a resident in Sweetwater County School District No. 1.
