ROCK SPRINGS – The YWCA of Sweetwater County is currently seeking nominations for the 2013 Women of Distinction Awards which will be handed out on Oct. 12.

These awards honor the women in the community who exemplify the mission of the YWCA, eliminating racism and empowering women. The awards are broken into three categories, Young Woman on the Move, Professional Woman of Distinction and Woman of Legacy.

Nominations forms can be picked up at the YWCA offices, online on the Rock Springs and Green River Chambers websites and online at ywcasweetwater.org. Nominations are due by Sept. 16.

The awards will be given out on October 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rock Springs Holiday Inn. Tickets are $20.
