ROCK SPRINGS – On Thursday, July 18, 2013, agents from numerous national, state and local law enforcement agencies conducted 10 search warrants and arrested 24 people in the Green River, Rock Springs and Evanston areas.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation worked cooperatively and simultaneously with agents from the following entities to execute the search warrants and make the arrests: the Drug Enforcement Administration; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; United States Marshals Service; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Wyoming Highway Patrol; Green River Police Department; Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office; Sublette County Sheriff’s Office; Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office; Rock Springs Police Department; Evanston Police Department and Uinta County Sheriff’s Office.
The joint operation was the culmination of an approximately 2-year-long investigation into suspected drug distribution in the Sweetwater County, Sublette County, Fremont County and Uinta County areas.
During execution of the search warrants, agents located U.S. currency, a firearm, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. Â The following persons were arrested on drug related charges:
- Rosendo Campos, 18, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Pablo Vargas-Adame, 32, Rock Springs, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Gabriel Martinez-Illesca, 46, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Jaime Sanchez-Marquez, 40, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Maria De La Cruz-Vargas, 46, Green River, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Robert Bower, 28, Evanston, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Francisco Hernandez-Marquez, 28, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Jose Flores-Santos, 23, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
- Manuel Hernandez-Marquez, 19, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Kandace Quezada-Moreno, 27, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
- Anna Peterson, 31, Superior, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
- Martha Hernandez, 48, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
- Enrico Chavez, 38, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Louis Hernandez, 29, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Jose Negrete, 19, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Ricardo Marin,18, Rock Springs, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine/delivery of methamphetamine.
- Crystal Espino, 27, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Cristopher Robinson, 22, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Louis Santiesteban, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
- Samuel Campos, 19, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
- Luis Govea Vargas, 28, Green River, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
- Carmen Torres-Lara, 18, Rock Springs, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine
- Kristen Brough, 36, Rock Springs, alleged misdemeanor possession of controlled substance.
- Lupe Loredo,20, Rock Springs, alleged possession of a controlled substance.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation would like to encourage the public to continue to provide information in a timely manner when they suspect someone engaged in the use or distribution of drugs.
The public is welcome to provide information regarding illegal drugs to Wyoming DCI, the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office at 307-352-6720, the Green River Police Department at 307-872-0555 or the Rock Springs Police Department at 307-352-1575.
The Southwest Enforcement Team is compromised of Agents from the Division of Criminal Investigation, the Uinta County Sheriff’s Office, Evanston Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Sublette County Sheriff’s Office, Green River Police Department and the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office.
