GREEN RIVER – For several years, the Green River Lady Wolves Cross Country team consisted of a few dedicated individual racers. This year, the team finished in the ninth position.
Led by sophomore Kaisa Arnell, the ladies finished with a point total of 236 to crack the top ten. Arnell crossed the line with a time of 19:58.97 bringing home a top-20 finish crossing in 18th place. She was less than a minute from a top ten in a competitive field.
Improving every race and impressing the most on the biggest stage for Green River was Kezley Moore. The freshman was right behind her teammate crossing in the 23rd spot. Her time of 20:14.37 was less than three seconds away from a state top 20 giving everyone a glimpse of what they can expect in the upcoming years.
Freshman Sydney Hosford posted the third-best Lady Wolves time crossing in 58th followed by another freshman, Carly Kettering, who finished in 62nd.
