Due to COVID-19 Coronavirus-related health concerns, the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Rock Springs has issued the following statement announcing the cancellation of their annual bake sale/fundraised this year.
We will miss the gyros and other goodies, but the church does plan on bringing the bake sale back in 2021!
It is with great disappointment that we are letting you know that due to the current health circumstances surround Covid-19, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Rock Springs will not be holding our annual bake sale/fundraiser this year.
We appreciate the community and all of you who provide such generous support to our bake sale year in and year out, and regret that we are not able to serve you with our delectable array of Greek pastries and favorite food items during this unusual year.
Many of our long-standing bakers are in a high-risk age category and the open style distribution methods used in the past would not be suitable with current guidelines and regulations.
We do however, plan to resume normal baking activities during 2021, and look forward to serving you again in the near future.
As you know, the bake sale serves as the main fundraiser for our local community church and money raised has been used for many of the important functions of our church. Even a small organization like our local church is not immune to difficulties felt throughout the community.
If you would like to still contribute support and are able to donate to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, our church community would be extremely grateful. You may still do so, by clicking on the “donation” tab on our website or visit us at http://www.holytrinityrs.org/donate.
May you experience all the blessings of this upcoming holy season and be filled with joy and happiness during this holiday season.
